What the worked examples establish
Each example uses stated, hypothetical inputs. The arithmetic and unit conversions are checked independently of the Tenselo application. Rounded figures are for readability; calculations retain precision before rounding. These examples are not customer projects, field trials or evidence of specialist approval.
Where the methods come from
- Pump duty and power: the energy balance and head relationship, with KSB and EPA references.
- Pipe head loss: velocity, Darcy–Weisbach and fitting-loss relationships, with the EPA EPANET manual reference.
- Crop demand and run time: FAO crop-coefficient and gross irrigation depth relationships, with the assumed efficiency stated.
What requires project-specific review
Verify site levels, water conditions, operating cases, manufacturer curves, exact product dimensions and current standards applicable to the project. A general method reference does not establish Australian or New Zealand regulatory compliance. A competent person must assess the complete design before procurement or construction.
